PANNON GABION Kft. undertakes warranty and guarantee for the retaining wall structures made using its products.
The lifetime of the steel mesh with its metal zinc-aluminium coating exceeds 60 years, and with a further PVC coating the lifetime is 120 years. This is equivalent or in excess of the lifetime of concrete elements constructed for similar purposes.
A special advantage of gabion retaining walls and other structures is that they flexibly follow the movements of the soil, while concrete elements may crack due to the effects of the movement of the ground. They may be repaired, disassembled and rebuilt without having to acquire new materials. If the mesh is damaged the damaged piece can be repaired.
They also make it possible to recycle the pieces of concrete walls constructed in the past in an environmentally friendly way. The materials of gabion walls can be reused in full, in other words the technology itself is completely environmentally friendly.
